The Stars Will Twinkle Again

Heading to dawn, to sunrise,
The stars had begun to march their way
To leave the moon, the abandoned skies
When beginning was just an empty well

You and the season of draught
Me and a heart I tried to guard
Didn’t we collide perfectly
Under a broken spell?

So what is there left to say
When eyes meet the morning,
A heart is cracked and mourning?

No, I don’t have to pretend that I’m okay
Watching the same big sky
And yet the stars have changed

No, I’m not pretending I’m okay
But the stars will twinkle again.
