Unforgotten Land

(for a village in Central Java that I left after a week of living in)

White and yellow and blue
The sky was also grey when I left you
Green field on a stop-over land
A wave goodbye, will I be back again?

Something about the blowing wind that day
The morning when time took me away
Was it the colors greeting the ray?
Or was it my heart wishing to stay?

‘Cause I walked on a temporary road
A place where memory then might just float
But this heart, at least, I’ll remember
Where you once stayed, and will be forever.
